About The 2022 Golazo Gala!

Just as a Golazo is a spectacular goal in soccer, our fundraising gala will be a fun and spectacular event. On Friday, December 9th, we will host the gala from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm at Gold Coast Eagle Distributing in Lakewood Ranch. The event will feature dinner, DJ, cash bar, a photo booth, and a silent auction. Dress to impress (leave the tank tops and flip-flops at home) and come have a wonderful evening to help raise funds for the club. This year’s budget for scholarships is $30,000, so every dollar we can raise specifically helps us in this area!

In 2021 and because of your generosity, we were able to raise $10,000!

Know Before You Go!

For the fundraising aspect to be a success, we want to ask two things of our BRSC families:

1) We would like each player to bring in a worthy auction item, valued at $10 or more. This could include gift cards from local restaurants, bottles of wine, sports memorabilia, etc. Our only ask is that they are quality items, and not used items.

We are also looking for families that might have the ability to donate or solicit donation items of larger valued items. This could include things like VRBO stays, rounds of golf, etc.

All donations should be given to your team manager.

2) Tell everyone you know to get tickets to the Gala! We will have 125 seats and would love to have our community involved and helping to raise funds for the club. Tables will only have 6 seats so that we can spread out a little while we eat and have fun.

We Need Volunteers! If you have folks looking for a way to get their volunteer fee back, we need help in the planning of the gala or help with the auction during the event. About The MLK Recreational Classic

The MLK Recreational Classic Tournament, hosted by Braden River Soccer Club is the perfect soccer tournament for co-ed recreational soccer players in Southwest Florida. This event is open to U8-U14 Boys and Girls recreational teams looking for that perfect end-of-January experience. With perfect fields, easy highway access to I75, and fun for the whole family - you don't want to miss this year's event.

Tournament FAQ's

TOURNAMENT REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY
After a team is accepted, then no refunds will be issued, exceptions as follows:

CANNOT FORM BRACKET FOR YOUR TEAM

If the tournament cannot provide a bracket for your team to participate, then you will receive a full refund. An example of this
would be if the tournament does not have enough teams to fill your age group.

WEATHER

In the event that inclement weather forces the cancellation of all or part of the tournament, teams will have the option to
receive a credit or cash refund of a percentage of their paid entry fee. This credit is to be used in future BRSC Tournament
tournaments (within one year), and will be given in the following increments:
• No games played = 75% credit or 50% cash refund
• One game played = 50% credit or 25 % cash refund
• Two games played = 25% credit only

COVID-19
In the event that Covid-19 forces the cancellation of the tournament, teams will have the option to receive a credit or cash
refund of a percentage of their paid entry fee. This credit is to be used in future BRSC soccer tournaments (within one year),
and will be given in the following increments:
• 100% credit or 75% cash refund
In the event that your team has to withdraw from the event due to Covid-19, teams will receive the following:
• Refund of your entry fee paid minus $50 administration fee

NOT RECEIVING GUARANTEED 3 GAMES

In the event that your team does not receive 3 games due to a team forfeiting or dropping out, teams will receive the
following:
• One game played = 75% credit or 50% cash refund
• Two games played = 50% credit or 25% cash refund
*Please note that if one of your games is canceled however you still play 3 games, then no refund/credit will be given.
If the event is canceled due to any other reasons not stated above, the tournament committee will meet to go over all
expenses to determine the amount of refund/credit that will be given to teams.

The brackets and schedule will be released on 1/7/23.

No, you do not have to pay right when you register. At the end of registration, you will have the option to pay by credit card or pay by check. If you need time to collect money from your parents, choose to pay by check to reserve your spot and pay later. All payments must be completed by December 15th!

This is a recreational soccer tournament with many teams within a commutable distance. That said, we do have discounted rates at area hotels for those interested.
