Coach Racquel Standifer Profile

Racquel has played soccer since she was 4 years old. Playing on an all-boys team up until she was 12 years old taught her how to play smart and aggressive. Racquel played competitive soccer up until she tore her A.C.L., M.C.L., and meniscus at 15 years old. 3 years later and a total of 3 A.C.L. surgeries, she decided to take it easy on her knee and put all of her time and effort into coaching. At 28 years old, she was able to try out and join an amazing Women's soccer team, Unity FC, to play in the W.S.P.L. in May and June of 2020. Although Racquel was a player, she found herself coaching and leading on the field.

Racquel graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Physical and Health Education for grade levels K-12. She has been teaching physical education for 5 years. Her playing experience, coaching education, and Physical education degree allow her to understand players and the tools they need to succeed. Her goal is to help them become the player they see themselves being. Racquel has the mindset of a player, soccer knowledge of a coach, and strategies of a teacher.
