Happy “RAGING” Thursday Folks, tryouts are already over! It is hard to believe how time flies! A lot of good things still happening!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our club board members, volunteers, friends of the club and our staff for all their hard work through tryouts! Without this extra help, a club finds it difficult to operate daily, never mind through such an important week as tryouts, so thank you for your part!!

Tryouts

Although we are on the other side of tryouts, we have been blessed with a fantastic turnout in record breaking numbers, allowing us to build our “Foundation” with Select teams! Right now, we have been holding extra evaluation nights at your request and been fortunate to add players to strengthen the foundation! If you are or still know someone looking to join your wonderful club to please let your respective coach, Gjoko or myself know so we can steer you/them in the right direction!

Next Steps?

Your coaches are in the process of finalizing their rosters. Some have already finished which is fantastic! Once the rosters have been confirmed by your club DOCs, Gemma Gallaway our wonderful club Administrator, will then create a new SPOND team account for every team for the 23/24 playing season. Your Head Coach will then start communicating to you. Your coach will schedule a team meeting to introduce himself/herself, for players and parents to meet each other and for the coach to share the season plan, so you all can plan accordingly. Please do not panic if you haven’t heard from your coach yet, you will hear from him/her very soon now!

League listing/team naming

Part of the Culture change is our renaming of the levels we play in. ‘A’ teams will be called the ELITE team/s. The ‘B’ teams will be called the PREMIER team/s and the ‘C’ teams will be called the SELECT/COLOR team/s. Your pre-registration link you received is the correct link per the level you were identified for. Administratively we will make these changes our end to coincide with the appropriate levels state, region and nation wide.

BRSC Training gear

The new training gear is ready to be ordered! The link should be shared in SPOND for you to go ahead and order! Our new training colors will be: GREY shirt, BLACK shorts and BLACK socks. Shin pads - a mandatory and minimum standard to be worn during every practice.

SPOND

The only form of club and team wide communication in one place! This platform is FREE to the club and the only way we will be communicating to you as a membership. Please make sure you have this downloaded on your smart phones, tablets and computers. Have your notifications set to ON so you don’t miss out on anything moving forward! Any questions to please let us know.

Recognizing our Staff

I would like to take the opportunity to boast the wonderful coaches we have on staff. They are not only great coaches, mentors and shrinks, but they are priceless in who they are! They exemplify our human values! They have been vetted and placed to take care of, love, protect, teach and develop your loving sons/daughters, reinforcing our life principles using this magic tool we love and call ‘Football/Soccer’

SUMMER CAMPS

A reminder to please take advantage of our specialized camp program as early as this summer!

1. Goal Keeping & Striker Camp: (link to register)

Will be led by Gjoko Tasevski our RAGE GK Director and Neathan Gibson our GM helping our future understand the importance of both roles.

2. Functional Camp: (link to register)

Geared toward helping players better understand how to play in each third of the field no matter the formation/s taught by their coaches. Our Staff will share what, how, why and when the different phases of play (Defending, attacking, transition) impact the game.

3. Technical Camp: (link to register)

Designed with purpose and focus on ‘touch’, ball mastery and control with and without pressure. Learning how a player’s technical touch and technical decision can impact the game both negatively (bad habits) or positively (good habits).

4. Conditioning Camp: (link to register)

We are looking to use this camp to help our athletes understand the importance of getting in shape, staying in shape and why its important to stretch improving flexibility. This camp will run by a Soccer Specific physical trainer from Parish HS. He will run players through various exercises! We encourage our athletes to sign up and take advantage of this camp to aid their preseason fitness!

5. Recreational Camp: (link to register)

Braden River SC is sensitive in providing a safe, healthy and fun filled environment for our future “Messi’s”! This camp is designed for all levels that just want to get out and enjoy the game while learning good habits playing the game!

Our Core Focus

Dear parents and players, as we embrace a culture change at Braden River Soccer Club, our Core Focus will be on Professionalism, Transparency, Family, and becoming a Center of Excellence for Player Development. Together, let's uphold these values and create a vibrant community where our young athletes can thrive, succeed in life, and access opportunities at the national level, in college, and beyond.
